Saratoga NewsSheriff's ReportPublic intoxication--June 8, 2:45 p.m., on Big Basin Way. Deputies contacted a juvenile at a camp with his high school class. The juvenile was lying on a picnic bench, smelled of alcohol and was unable to stand up. When questioned, the juvenile exhibited slurred speech and was unable to comprehend or answer deputies' questions. His clothing was wet and dirty, and he had urinated in his pants. Deputies booked the juvenile into the main jail for public intoxication. Vandalism/tagging--June 7, 11:30 a.m., on Prospect Road. A witness saw a juvenile tagging a city lamppost. Deputies contacted the juvenile after the witness identified him. The juvenile had a pen in his possession similar to that used for the tagging and admitted to having done it. Deputies cited and released the juvenile. Peeking while prowling--June 6, 2:15 p.m., on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. While trying on clothing in the changing room of a clothing store, the victim noticed an older male peeking under the changing room door. The suspect got up from his hands and knees and exited the store when noticed. The victim informed store employees and called deputies, who searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
