Burton hosts camp

West Valley College men's basketball coach Bob Burton will head up the annual West Valley Boys' Basketball Camp this summer at the school's Saratoga campus.

The camp includes two sessions for boys ages 8-16 and will feature instruction in basketball fundamentals.

The first session is set for June 19-28 with players ages 13-16 attending 9:10-11:10 a.m. and players ages 8-12 participating 11:20 a.m.-1:20 p.m. The second session runs July 1-12, with the younger players on the floor early and the older players in the later time slot.

The cost is $85 per session. For more information, call Burton at 741-2173.

Soccer signups

Fall registration is now being accepted for the Saratoga AYSO youth soccer program. The registration fee is $80 per player and parents must accept a volunteer job in the program. New players must provide a birth certificate, and all players must provide the names and phone numbers of their doctors and emergency contacts.

Financial assistance is available. For more information on the program, call 257-AYSO.

Football signups

The Campbell-Saratoga Youth Football organization is holding signups for the 1996 fall season. Signups will be accepted for both football players and cheerleaders, and the organization is also looking for coaches. For more information, call 327-9510.

Summer basketball

Apair of summer basketball camps for boys and girls ages 8-16 will be held in June and July at the Monta Vista gym.

The Cupertino Parks and Recreation Department will host the camps June 24-28 and July 22-26. Camp hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day, and the cost is $115 for Cupertino residents and $135 for non-residents. A $10 discount is offered to players signing up for two sessions and there is a $20 discount for players signing up for all three sessions.
