Sheriff's Report
Auto Theft--June 10, 6:20 a.m. on Kristy Lane. The owner last saw her car the day before at 7 p.m. After that time, unknown suspects entered the car and drove it away without the victim's permission. When the victim woke at about 6:15 the next morning, her father told her the car was gone. The suspects are at large.
Drunk in Public--June 9, 7:40 p.m. on Saraglen Drive. The officer was dispatched on a report of a female juvenile having overdosed at a party. The officer arrived and found the subject lying on the front lawn, unable to sit or stand. The subject said she drank "brandy, only brandy." Her pupils were constricted to 1 to 2 mm and were nonresponsive. Paramedics took her to Los Gatos Community Hospital. Blood alcohol levels were tested and found to be .320. After the subject's parents were contacted, they arrived at the hospital. The sheriff's office cited the subject.
Trespassing/Grand Theft--June 9, 4 p.m. on Quito Road. The officer responded to a report of some suspicious people climbing the fence of a property. The property owner had told the reporting party to call 911 if anyone entered the property. The officer saw two subjects on the property picking cherries. Neither subject knew the property owner, nor had they received permission to enter the property to pick cherries. The officer cited and released them on their promise to appear in court.
Petty Theft and Vandalism--June 9, 8:15 a.m. on Lynde Avenue. The victim bought a GT Little Timber bicycle for his son and, on June 8 before 3 p.m., left it locked in a bike rack at Foothill Elementary School. When he came to pick up the bike at 8:30 p.m., it was lying on its side, and a pair of black and gray gloves and a $25 cyclocomputer were missing. The front gear was damaged, as though the unknown suspect had jumped on it.
Attempted Petty Theft--June 7, 1:10 p.m. on Bucknall Road. The victim left her car parked in her driveway. At 11 p.m., she retrieved an item from the car and forgot to lock it before she returned to the house. At 6 a.m. the next day, the victim found that an unknown suspect had opened the car and searched it for cash. The suspect did not take anything, including CDs and other valuables. No physical evidence or suspect information was found at the scene.
Danger to Self/Missing Person--June 5, 11 a.m. on Glen Brae Drive. The victim went to San Francisco to visit her brother. She wasn't on her medication for bipolar disorder and had become manic and unable to tell the difference between what was safe and unsafe. She reported to her brother that she was wandering around the Haight-Ashbury district in San Francisco.
