The San Jose-based radio station KBAY chose Saratoga School teacher Kim Huebner as KBAY's May teacher of the month. Huebner was given a gift certificate by morning DJ Lissa Kreisler. Her name was announced on KBAY each morning at 6:45 a.m. for the month of May. The whole class was also given flowers, balloons and prizes. Huebner was chosen during National Teacher Appreciation Week after being nominated by Jeffrey Russell, one of the student's in her fourth-grade class. In his nomination letter, Jeffrey said "She is the best teacher because she really cares about all of us 30 kids, not just favorites like some teachers." Huebner is completing her first year of teaching.
