Dorman of Saratoga was one of five graduate students of San Jose State University's foreign languages/Spanish program to receive a scholarship for outstanding achievement this year. SHS alum receives doctorate, honors Christine Geranios, a 1989 Saratoga High School graduate, received her doctor of education degree in higher education administration May 16 from Arizona State University in Tempe. Geranios was selected as the most distinguished doctoral degree candidate in the College of Education. Beginning July 1, Geranios will work as coordinator of undergraduate studies for the communications department at ASU. Wendy Berg elected to Phi Beta Kappa Wendy Berg, a 1993 graduate of Prospect High School, has been elected to Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest national honorary fraternity. Berg graduated cum laude from the University of Denver on June 6 with a bachelor of arts degree in international studies and a minor in political science. Saratoga resident receives honors Saratoga resident Abigail Hoops graduated with honors from the University of New Hampshire on May 24 and received a bachelor's degree in psychology. Hoops minored in race, culture and power. She is an executive member of Cool-Aid, which is a student volunteer crisis-intervention program.
