Saratoga NewsSheriff's ReportDomestic Violence--June 12, 2:10 p.m., on Fruitvale Avenue. Witnesses reported that a man and woman were fighting in the Saratoga city offices parking lot. Witnesses saw the man hit the woman in the face. When police arrived, the woman was on top of the man in the passenger seat and was hitting him in the face and chest. The suspects were arrested for domestic violence and booked at the main jail. Vandalism--June 11, 9:30 a.m., at Congress Springs Park. An unknown person ripped out about six sprinkler heads and a small tree. A burned flag was found nearby. Sheriffs report that several storage sheds have been found unlocked during previous patrol checks, and the scoreboard has been left on and the flag has not been taken down on several occasions. Vandalism--June 8, 10:45 a.m., on Brookview Drive. A resident heard a loud cracking sound in her back yard at 12:30 a.m. The following morning, she noticed that five fence boards in her back yard fence had been kicked in. Petty Theft--June 4, 8:30 a.m., on Pepper Lane. A man left his cellular telephone on the hood of his car while he went into a residence to work. When he came out, the phone was gone. He contacted the sheriff's office to report the serial number as stolen.
