Soccer Camps
Major League Soccer Camps will return to Saratoga this summer for players in the under-6 through under-14 age divisions.
Camps are slated for Aug. 13-17 and Aug. 20-24 at Redwood Middle School. The cost is $105 for one week ($115 after July 31) or $170 for two weeks ($180 after July 31), and players will receive a soccer ball, camp T-shirt and a voucher for a San Jose Earthquakes game.

Ride the Edge
Gymnastics on horseback?
Well, while it may not be as common as soccer and baseball to sports enthusiasts in the area, it is an international sport.
And athletes will be showing off their talents in an international vaulting competition when the take part in "Ride the Edge" on June 30 and July 1 at Garrod Farms, 22600 Mount Eden Road in Saratoga.
Local and national athletes will compete against international competitors when they perform gymnastics on cantering horses. The event is sponsored by Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards and is a benefit for Via Rehabilitation Services to rebuild Camp Costanoan, a summer camp for disabled children in Silcon Valley.
The competition is free and open to the public. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 30 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 1.
AYSO Soccer
The Saratoga AYSO Region 27 is holding registration for players ages 5 and up interested in playing in the fall season. The registration fee is $100 per child and space is limited.
Players must provide a birth certificate, a doctor's name and phone number, medical insurance information and the name, phone number and address of an emergency contact.

Hall of Fame Grants
The Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame will distribute more than $135,000 in grants for athletic equipment to the Sunnyvale Serra Little League, the Sunnyvale Swim Club, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley (Northside, Southside, 4 Seasons and Eastside units), the Far West Wheelchair Athletic Association, the Morgan Hill Swim Club and the YMCA San Jose, Milpitas/Berryessa, Northwest and South Valley branches.
