Saratogans turn out for weekly tromp through the Farmer's Market
Merchants and growers from as far away as Fresno flock to Saratoga High School's parking lot on Saturdays year-round for Saratoga's Farmer's Market, an open-air market which attracts up to 40 food purveyors during peak season. The market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is only closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

The stands feature colorful flowers of many different varieties. Leighann Ong from Sunnyvale said she goes to the market every week to purchase flowers for her home. There are all types of fruits, vegetables, herbs, meats, breads and pastries. At the Mission Fish stand, whose fishing boats run out of Half Moon Bay, it is even possible to buy fish bellies and bones.
The SHS lot is located at the corner of Saratoga Avenue and Herriman Avenue.
