Connie Wood

Connie Evelyn Wood died May 11 in her Saratoga home due to complications from ALS. She was 80.

Born Jan. 17, 1918, in Twin Falls, Idaho, Wood worked for 24 years as a data-entry department manager at Stanford University. Among her favorite hobbies was dancing. She took and taught ballroom dance lessons and was also a member of the Sizzling Seniors, a local aerobic dancing group that performs at fundraising events, churches, retirement homes and private parties. Wood also enjoyed swimming.

Survivors include husband Ed Wood of Saratoga; sons and daughters-in-law Glenn and Karla Siebert and Ron and Jill Siebert; son Phil Siebert; stepchildren Dan, Gary and David Wood, Michelle Johnson and Jessica Killian; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sisters Helen Packowski, Veda Hubert and Afton Bryant.

Memorial services have been held. Donations may be made to the Charlie Wedemeyer Family Outreach program, 828 Lilac Way, Los Gatos, 95032.
