Youth Football

Campbell-Saratoga Youth Football is currently holding signups for young people interested in playing football or becoming cheerleaders for the fall season. For information, prospective football players should call 327-9510, and cheerleaders should call 298-7830.

Pop Warner

Los Gatos Pop Warner football will hold final signups for players and cheerleaders on July 19, 10 a.m., at Fisher Middle School. Signups will be followed by a meeting for parents from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Youngsters ages 8-15 in Los Gatos, Saratoga, Campbell and Willow Glen are eligible. The season begins Aug. 1.

Former Saratoga head football coach Benny Pierce will work with the 12-15 year-olds this fall. This is the first season 15-year-olds have been eligible.

Volleyball Camp

Monta Vista volleyball coach Sheri Hess will head the list of instructors at a volleyball camp, July 7-11, in the Monta Vista High School gym. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 11-16, and the cost is $110 per camper. For more information, call Hess at 257-2640.

Hoop Camp

The annual Sid Williams Basketball Camp returns to Fisher Middle School July 14-18. The camp is designed for "motivated players" entering fifth-ninth grades.

Session 1 for boys and girls entering the fifth and sixth grades will be held 1-3:30 p.m. each day, and players entering the seventh-ninth grades will attend Session 2 from 4 to 7 p.m.

All-Comers Meets

Los Gatos will host all-comers track and field meets on Thursdays, 5 p.m., through Aug. 14, at the high school track. There is a $3 entry fee. For information, call Willie Harmatz at 354-7365 or Steve Barth at 354-2730.
