Sheriff's Report

Under the Influence--June 24, 3:10 p.m., at Blauer Drive and Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. A suspect, who drove up to a Goodwill station when it was closed, was arrested for having an expired license, being under the influence of a controlled substance and having possession of several syringes and a collapsible baton in the car.

Throwing substances--June 23, 8 p.m., at Saratoga and Fruitvale avenues. The victim, who was the passenger in a vehicle driving northbound on Saratoga Avenue, had an unknown substance thrown at her by the driver of another vehicle. The other vehicle sped away after the incident. The substance had no smell and did not harm the victim. The victim could not identify the tosser of the substance.
