    Sheriff's Report

    Reckless Driving--July 4, 2:35 p.m. on Congress Springs Road. A sheriff's deputy stopped a person for driving 65 mph in a posted 35-mph zone.

    Found Purse--July 2, 10:45 p.m. on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. A purse was found in the street in Saratoga. The owner could not be contacted and the purse was placed into evidence at the Sheriff's Office.

    Auto Vandalism--July 2, 7 p.m. on Pierce Road. A resident's vehicle was keyed. There are no witnesses or suspect information.

    Vandalism--July 2, 11:10 a.m. on Paseo Pueblo. Unknown suspects threw a rock through the window of a resident's home.

    Recovered Vehicle--June 30, 4 p.m. on Goleta Avenue. A resident reported her vehicle stolen. Two days later she noticed her vehicle parked in front of her house. Nothing appeared to be missing. Fingerprints from the car were submitted to the sheriff's for processing.

    Petty Theft--June 30, 3:30 p.m. on Big Basin Way. A resident was in a local bank. She left her sunglasses on a counter next to the customer service phone. When she returned a few minutes later the glasses were missing. She checked with the bank staff and sunglasses had not been turned in.

    Grand Theft--June 29, 9 a.m. on Prospect Road. A construction company reported that over $800 worth of lumber was stolen from their construction site in Saratoga. On the weekend that the lumber turned up missing, over 60 workers and numerous members of the public had access to the wood. There are no suspects.
