The Saratoga Little League is winning!
OK, so it may still a little early to start planning the victory party, but the 12-year-old and 10-year-old Saratoga all-stars are celebrating their winning ways in the early rounds of District 12 tournament play.
The 12-year-old all-stars have put together a pair of wins to move along in the winner's bracket in the tournament currently under way at the American Little League field.
Saratoga will face Los Gatos on July 13, 5:30 p.m., in a winner's bracket game. The winner advances to the finals of the winner's bracket.
The American Little League field is located near Monroe and Hedding streets behind Valley Fair in San Jose.
In the 10-year-old tourney, Saratoga has advanced to the finals of the winner's bracket.
Saratoga knocked off rival Los Gatos 8-4 last weekend to make it three straight wins in the tourney. Saratoga opened with victories over Cambrian Park (4-3) and Willow Glen (12-1).
Saratoga will square off with Saturday's Quito-Almaden winner on July 15, 5:30 p.m., at the Branham Hills field, located on Ross Avenue just off Branham Lane near Camden.
The Quito 10-year-old all-stars are also alive in the tournament. Quito opened with wins over Lincoln Glen and Branham Hills, and battled Almaden on Saturday with the winner moving into the winner's bracket finals against Saratoga.
Thursday's winner moves on to the tournament championship game set for July 19, 5:30 p.m., at Branham Hills.
