    All-Comers Track and Field Meets

    The Los Gatos All-Comers track and field meets will be held each Thursday through Aug. 12 at the high school track. The entry fee is $3 for unlimited events in the open, high school boys, women's, girls and master men's divisions.

    The pole vault event begins at 5 p.m., with other field events (long jump, shot put, high jump, triple jump and discus) beginning at 5:30 p.m. Track events begin at 6 p.m.

    The fee for spectators is $2.

    Rowing Camp

    The Los Gatos Rowing Club will host a summer camp for boys and girls entering the seventh and eighth grades.

    The week-long camp, held at the Lexington Reservoir boathouse, will run July 19-23, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. each day. The cost of $175 per person includes instruction, lunch each day and a camp T-shirt.

    Summer Sports Camps for Kids

    The Los Gatos-Saratoga Recreation Department will offer a series of sports camps for youngsters this summer.

    The sports-camp series will offer instruction in basketball, soccer, softball and tennis with youngsters in kindergarten through middle school matched in age groups.

    A softball camp for girls in grades 3-8 will be held July 19-22 on the Los Gatos High School softball field under the direction of former Olympian Lisa Mize.

    Los Gatos High varsity tennis coach Carol Kane will head the tennis camps to be held throughout July on the Los Gatos courts.

    Veteran high school coaches John Mackey and Rich Prsha will serve as instructors for the basketball camps, with Chris Trevisan and Tom Vischer heading up the soccer camps.

    Soccer Camps

    The Saratoga AYSO will work with MLS Camps to offer youth soccer camps Aug. 9-13 and Aug. 23-27, 9 a.m.-noon each day, at Congress Springs Park.
