Saratoga NewsAdam George learned that it's not such a cruel world after all, and he has the Beanie Babies to show just how caring people can be. Beanies-and faith-returnedBy Adam George My name is Adam. I am the kid who lost his Beanie Babies. Since I lost them, lots of people have given me Beanie Babies and have been really nice. Even before my letter, my friends gave me one of their Beanies. Thank you so much Amy Smith, Tim, Kevin and Brad Rollison, Kris Clark, Andy and Charlie Coles and Timmie and Nathanial Coggins. When the letter was in the paper, I got lots of calls from people I didn't even know. They wanted to make me feel better by giving me Beanie Babies. Kristin Davis from The Front Window in Saratoga gave me three Beanie Babies. Then the best call came from Dave Bailey--he had all my Beanie Babies and my baby blanket! But he wasn't the one who took them. Someone found them and gave them to him when he was at Congress Springs Park playing ball with his daughter, Lauren. The phone calls haven't stopped. Pat Andreson, Dena from the Los Gatos McDonald's, and Laurie Anderson all wanted to help replace my Beanies. Charles Leiter from Leiter's Park Avenue Pharmacy in San Jose called me and wanted to replace all of my lost Beanies. When he found out that we got them back, he decided to send me Princess anyway. Heidi and Jim Trah from Learning Express also wanted to replace all of my Beanies. My brother answered the telephone, and someone told him to tell me to go look in my mailbox. I found Iggy in there with a nice note that didn't tell the person's name. I learned that people can be really nice and kind. Out of one bad thing came tons of good things. I've tried to return the Beanies that people gave me, but most won't take them back. Thank you everyone who showed me so much kindness. There are lots of good citizens out there!
