Don and Cindy Yauger of Saratoga announce the engagement of their son, William L. Hagman, to Katy S. Jevitz, daughter of John and Kay Jevitz of Ottowa, Ill.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Saratoga High School, West Valley College and Illinois State University. He works for Devcon Construction in Milpitas as a project coordinator.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Ottowa High School, Illinois Valley Community College and Illinois State University. This fall, she will be a kindergarten teacher at Lietz School in San Jose.

They plan a July 31 wedding.
