Gold Rush Sisters sing of California

On July 17, the Gold Rush Sisters will perform songs and dialogue about California's history at the Saratoga Library, 13650 Saratoga Ave. The program, which is free and open to the public, begins at 2:30 p.m. in the community room and emphasizes the Gold Rush period. Head librarian Diana Colby said that the show came highly recommended to her. "It's wonderful for children going into the fourth grade because that's when they begin to study California history," she said.
