Saratoga Soccer
The Saratoga AYSO Region 27 soccer league, in cooperation with Major League Soccer, will host Major League Soccer Camps Aug. 7-11 and Aug. 21-25, 9 a.m.-noon, at Congress Springs Park.
The camps are recommended for all players in the under-6 to under-14 programs. The cost is $100 per child for each camp ($150 for one child for both camps). Each camper receives a T-shirt.

Youth Football
Sign-ups for the 2000 Los Gatos Pop Warner football season are now being accepted.
Pop Warner offers programs for boys and girls ages 7-15 from Los Gatos and Saratoga. Football teams are grouped according to weight and age, and cheer squads are grouped by age.
The organization will add a new instructional, non-competitive entry-level division this season for boys ages 7-9 weighing between 45-85 pounds.
Practice for all teams begins in August.

All-star Football
Outstanding football players from the high school class of 2000 will be on the field this summer for the annual Silicon Valley Youth Classic Charlie Wedemeyer All-Star Football Game.
The game, billed as the "Best Game in Town" by its sponsor, the Almaden Valley Rotary Club, will return for its 26th year when a new group of all-stars takes the field on July 26, 7:30 p.m., at San Jose State University's Spartan Stadium.
The classic began in the summer of 1974 and, with the exception of 1976, the game has been played every summer since.
Impact Tryouts
The De Anza Impact, a girls under-11 Class 1 soccer team, is holding tryouts for the fall season. Players born after July 31, 1989, are eligible.
