Simcha Gold, 15, a Saratoga High School junior, excitedly checks out the new swimming pool at SHS. Gold, a member of the school's water polo and swim teams, says it was worth the hassle of going to West Valley College last semester to train while Saratoga's Olympic-size pool was under construction. Practice begins on Aug. 14. Gold says she can hardly wait.
