    Remembering WWII is theme

The Saratoga Historical Museum, at 20450 Saratoga-Los Gatos Road, invites the community to view its new exhibit: Remembering Saratoga and Word War II. The exhibit includes the first public display of photographs of troops stationed in Saratoga following the attack of Pearl Harbor. Also highlighted is WWII memorabilia, newsclips featuring Saratogans during the war years, information about early draftees from the Saratoga area, and about the internment of Santa Clara Valley's Japanese-Americans.

Visitors are also encouraged to view the garden area behind the museum to see an outdoor exhibit of farm implements and equipment. The equipment was recently restored and labeled by Boy Scout Kevin La Velle, who undertook the project to earn his Eagle Scout badge--the highest award in Scouting.

Hours are Friday through Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Comedian returns to Blue Rock Shoot

Local comedian Jacqi Bowe presents her "alter-eager" Pam'la Pesto Perfekt in a stand-up show on July 27, beginning at 8:13 p.m at the Blue Rock Shoot coffeehouse, 14523 Big Basin Way in Saratoga. As always, Bowe has many quintessentially "Pam'la" skits planned, with comedy, music, dance and surprises up her sleeve. For more information, call 408.241.8318, or email pampestoperfekt@aol.com.
