DUI/Illegal drug possession--2:15 a.m., July 22 on Big Basin Way. A deputy watched a suspect pull into a closed business parking lot. The deputy approached the suspect, smelled alcohol, and arrested the suspect for driving under the influence. During an inventory search, the officer found four "baggies" containing marijuana.
Car Burglary--11 p.m., July 16 on Scotland Way. The driver's window of one car was smashed in and a car phone and CD player were stolen from another car's trunk.
Grand Theft--8:25 p.m., July 16 on Prospect Road at the Detail Performance Center Car Wash. A suspect broke into two storage sheds, stealing three handheld buffers and a paint-chip repair kit's spray gun. Losses were valued at $1,100.
False Pretenses--3 p.m., July 15 on Glen Brae Drive. A man paid $250 to have part of his fence fixed. The man who the victim contracted for the repair returned a few days later and said that the fence would need to be completely replaced. The victim paid $450 for the job, but the worker never returned to work on the fence.
Assault--3 p.m., July 10 on Audry Smith Lane. The victim reported that he was verbally abused by a co-worker. The victim then said he pulled out a knife on his co-worker, telling him to stay away. After he put the knife away, he reports that he was assaulted by the second man. A report was submitted to the District Attorney.
