Hakone workshop on animal helpers
Continuing with its tradition of offering arts, crafts, wellness and cultural programs, Saratoga's Hakone Gardens has scheduled a workshop called "Your Animal Helpers" on Aug. 12 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The instructor is Sam Holland, a former Los Gatan who has been teaching meditation, transformation and inner-personal growth techniques since 1975.
At Hakone, he will teach participants about the intuitive bonds with nature and animals held by members of ancient cultures, and how these bonds included the spirit world.
Holland will also help participants discover who their own animal helpers are and how to form a beneficial relationship with them.
Cost is $40 per person. Hakone Gardens is at 21000 Big Basin Way in Saratoga. To register, call Bonnie at 408.253.8337 or email paradies@ix.netcom.com.
