Sheriff's Report

Auto Burglary--July 29, 10 a.m., on Saratoga Avenue. A resident had property stolen from her car trunk while the vehicle was parked at the library. The victim's keys, which were taken off a table in the library, were used to open the trunk by an unknown suspect. The suspect left with the property and keys.

Soliciting without a permit--July 28, 7:35 p.m., on Casa Blanca Lane. Deputies responded to a call about peddlers who failed to show proper identification to a resident. The peddlers identified themselves as working for a nonprofit agency but could not produce a city-issued picture ID or a paper permit with their names on it. The solicitors told deputies they were new and not on the old permit list.
