Saratoga NewsSheriff's ReportResidential Burglary--July 28, 12:25 p.m., on Ravenwood Drive. An unknown suspect forced entry into a house via a bedroom window. The house was searched and cash was taken. Threatening Phone Calls--July 28, 8:30 a.m., on Village Drive. Two victims reported that a former friend and patient had recently become mentally unstable. Victims said the suspect has been calling constantly, threatening them at both home and work. The suspect allegedly threatened the lives of both victims. The victims reported more violent phone calls from the suspect after deputies tried to contact him at home. The victims have placed phone traps on their phones. Hazardous Dumping--July 27, 12:40 p.m., on Swarthmore Avenue. A concerned citizen called to report that someone was discharging a possibly hazardous liquid with a strong odor into the street gutter. When deputies contacted the person dumping the liquid, they found he was cleaning a swimming pool. Vandalism--July 22, 3:50 p.m., on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. A woman said someone threw or shot an unknown object at her living-room window while she was at work. A witness told the woman that he heard something hit the window but did not look to see what the noise was. When she checked the window pane, she found a small chrome or steel ball lodged in it. Deputies have no suspects or motives for the incident.
