Montalvo raises money, receives additional funding The Villa Montalvo Capital Campaign drive, begun in the fall of 1995, has now brought in $3.2 million in funding necessary for capital improvement projects such as the now-renovated Carriage House Theatre. The millions were raised through more than 100 donations from individuals, corporations and foundations. Because Montalvo raised these funds within a two-year timeframe, it qualified for and received a $250,000 grant from the Kresge Foundation, an independent, private foundation. Montalvo is now raising money to furnish all 10 of the Artist Residency cottages by selling engraved bricks for the pathway in the artists' complex. Bricks range in price from $100 to $1,000. For more information, call 961-5811.
