    Fall Ball

The Hardtke World Of Baseball will offer "Fall Ball" programs for youth ages 8-12 and teens 13-18 for the sixth straight year. The program is designed for the serious player.

The 8-12 age division offers practice sessions once, twice or three times a week. All practices are held at Hardtke World of Baseball, 148 San Tomas Aquino Road, Campbell. League play begins Sept. 15 and ends Oct. 24.

The 13-18 age division features a "wood bat" league. The season, which begins Sept. 11 and ends Oct. 20, features two divisions-- varsity, players trying out for high school varsity; and junior varsity, players trying out for frosh-soph teams.

Check their website at www.hwob.com or call 866-8050.

    De Anza Soccer

A summer soccer camp for youth ages 5-16 will be held Aug. 16-20, 9 a.m.-noon each day, on the campus of De Anza Community College in Cupertino. The cost is $100 per player. Call 864-8745.

    Girls Basketball

A girls three-on-three basketball tournament for players in grades 6-12 will be held Aug. 14-15 at Stanford University. The entry fee is $175, and each team is guaranteed eight games. Call 1-650-725-7193.

    Soccer Camp

The San Jose Clash spent most of July on the road, but will return home to play three of four games in August at Spartan Stadium.

And that's not just good news for Major League Soccer fans, but all for area age group soccer players.

Because while they're home, Clash players will be in the area to host a youth soccer camp for local players at Congress Springs Park in Saratoga.

The Clash and the Saratoga AYSO will host the MLS Camp on Aug. 23-27, 9 a.m.-noon each day, for players ages 7-18. The cost is $100 per player.

Each camper receives an individual player evaluation, a gift from MLS, a free companion ticket to a Clash game, an official league soccer ball and an MLS camp T-shirt.

A team of international coaches, trained and qualified in coaching soccer for children, will head up the instructional staff at the camp.

For information, contact the league's website at www.saratoga-ayso.org, the MLS website at www.nasc.com or call Bobbi Eisenberg at 252-0500.
