Saratoga NewsBrookside names top swimmersYoung Williams best of them allBy Dick Sparrer Most 6-year-olds are just taking lessons to learn how to swim, but not Jordan Williams. It seems that young Jordan could be giving those lessons! Williams turns out to be quite the swimmer for the Brookside Swim Team in Saratoga. Good enough, in fact, that even though he swims in the 6-and-under age group, he was selected as Brookside's swimmer of the year. The club honored six swimmers will special awards at the end of a successful summer season, and Williams swam away with the top award, even though he competes in the youngest of the six age groups that range from 6-and-under to 15-18. Jacklyn Mora and Andrew Scott were each winners of the most inspirational swimmer award for Brookside, and coaches awards went to Sara Clark and Ben Hinshaw. Scott Cruikshank won the award for highest points in the championships. In the different age groups, awards were presented to: Ages 6-and-under High point boy--Williams; runner-up boy--Cameron Paulsen; all-around boy--Adam Hinshaw; high point girl--Lauren O'Patrny; runner-up girl--Claire Marsh; all-around girl--Elizabeth Murray. Ages 7-8 High point boy--Ryan Hinshaw; runner-up boy--B. Hinshaw; all-around boy--Dylan Fish; high point girl--Katie Dennerline; runner-up girl--Emma Fish; all-around girl--Katie Clabeaux. Ages 9-10 High point boy--Cruikshank; runner-up boy--Griffin Lerman; all-around boy--Zachary Vidlock; high point girl--Amanda Van Hoesen; runner-up girl--Kelly Eisenberg; all-around girl--Samantha Mastrogiacomo. Ages 11-12 High point boy--Jason Chan; runner-up--Will Koen; all-around boy--David Mora; high point girl--Jennifer Euler; runner-up--Maddy de Simone; all-around girl--Julie Eisenberg. Ages 13-14 High point boy--Justin Lerman; runner-up boy--Greg Van Hoesen; all-around boy--Justin Lerman; high point girl--Lindsay Sherburne; runner-up girl--Alyssia Goddard; all-around girl--Claire Koen. Ages 15-18 High point boy--Steve Norton; runner-up boy--Kevin Bowe; high point girl--Lauren Sherburne; runner-up girl--Sofina Qureshi; all-around girl--L. Sherburne.
