Prospective students to enroll at new locale

Residents of the Campbell Union Elementary School District can register their children at the district's new enrollment office. The office, 155 N. Third St. in Campbell, is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. School begins Tuesday, Aug. 28.

A child must be 5 years old on or before Dec. 2 to register for kindergarten. The district operates a longer kindergarten day, the same length as first-graders' days. Parents who wish to register their children for kindergarten must provide proof of the child's birth date. They must also prove the child lives in the district by providing a document such as a utility bill or property tax statement.

For information, visit the center, call the district's 24-hour phone line, 408.341.7008, or log onto www.campbellusd.org.
