    Obituaries

    Judith Smaha

    Judith Smaha died at her Saratoga residence on July 10 at the age of 64.

    Born June 12, 1936 in Portland, Maine, Smaha was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling and was known for her fine craftsmanship in needlepoint and bead work.

    Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Julie and Mark Gouldsberry of Los Gatos; son and daughter-in-law John and Renee Smaha of San Jose; grandsons Adam and Brian Gouldsberry of Los Gatos; sister Doris Jean McPherson of Cumberland Center, Maine; also several nieces and nephews.

    Memorial services have been held. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, marked for research only, 1715 S. Bascom Ave., Campbell, 95008.

    Harry Schrader

    Harry H. Schrader died in his Saratoga residence on July 5. He was 60.

    Born July 29, 1939 in Germany, Schrader emigrated to Canada in 1952, and settled in California four years later. He ran Harry's Liquor and Deli on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road from 1972 until his death.

    Survivors include wife Ingrid Schrader of Saratoga, mother Hilda Schrader and siblings Linda Runge and Wulf Schrader.

    Memorial services are pending. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
