Sharon Fernekees and John Jeans were married on June 29, 1997, at Mt. Hamilton in San Jose.

The bride is the daughter of Marion Stewart of Cupertino and Louis Fernekees of Phoenix. She is a graduate of Saratoga High School and San Francisco State University, and a social worker with Volunteers of America, San Jose.

The bridegroom is the son of William and Jessie Jeans of San Leandro. He is a graduate of San Leandro High and the Universal Technical Institute, and is a mechanic at South Bay Truck and Equipment, San Jose.

The couple resides in San Jose.
