Violet Anderson, shown here with her 3-year-old grandson, Zantre, enjoyed the third annual Squiggles and Giggles barbecue at the SubAcute facility on Sousa Lane in Saratoga. The medically fragile children, who range in age from newborn to 12 years, were treated to a zoo-themed day complete with a petting zoo. As a special treat, the Saratoga Fire Department passed out fire hats. The kids were able to sit in the fire trucks, and they even got to toot the horns.
