Inspired by Poetry
Los Gatos artist Janet Fullmer Bajorek, who also runs Iguana Galleries in town, will show two of her ceramic sculptures in the 'Poetry in Clay and Glass' exhibition at the Triton Museum, 1505 Warburton Ave. in Santa Clara. The exhibition's premise is that visual art is often inspired by words, including poetry, verse, lyrics and haiku. One of Bajorek's sculptures is 'Warning,' left, which she based on a poem of the same name by British poet Jenny Joseph in which a woman asserts: 'When I am an old woman I shall wear purple.'
