Saratoga NewsNews BriefsSaratoga Fire Dept. rescues lost teens Saratoga Fire Department officials responded to a hiking trip gone awry Aug. 17. Department officials said three teenagers, all believed to be San Jose residents, were hiking high up on Bohlman Road. "It got dark, and they got disoriented," Capt. Bill Morrison said, adding that the lack of streetlights made it hard for the teenagers to find their way. According to Morrison, the trio began calling for help--and attracted the attention of a neighborhood dog. When the dog's owner came out to investigate, he heard the teens and called authorities. Morrison said the department received the call at 10:14 p.m. "It took about two hours to get them out," he said. All three teens were reported to be in good condition.
