Celebrate Saratoga! brings food, dance to Big Basin Way

The Saratoga Chamber of Commerce's Celebrate Saratoga! Street Dance 2000 is set for Sept. 23, from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. This is the event's 12th consecutive year.

Local wineries and restaurants will offer food and beverages from booths along Big Basin Way in the Village. This year, there will also be microbrews and margaritas. Five bands are scheduled to perform and there will also be a DJ.

A new attraction this year will be a laser light show, which will run continuously throughout the night, according to Abby Krimotat, executive director of the Chamber. The show is sponsored by the Laser Eye Center of Silicon Valley.

Admission is free and there will be a free shuttle service from Saratoga High School where patrons can park. People must buy tickets for food and must purchase a $5 collector's wineglass for wine. Menu prices vary from each restaurant. For more information, visit www.saratogachamber.org.
