    San Jose Pacific holds signups

    The San Jose Pacific Pony Baseball program is holding signups for the winter league season for players ages 9-12. The signup fee is $40 per player for the season that runs from Sept. 10 to Nov. 19. For more information, call 408.536.0657.

    Select soccer players needed

    Two Los Gatos Metro boys soccer teams are looking for players for the upcoming select season.

    The Metro boys under-13 Class 1 team is looking for a field player and a goalkeeper, and the boys under-14 Class 1 team is looking for two field players.

    Falcons in jamboree

    The fields of Willow Glen High will be filled with field hockey teams Sept. 8 and 9 when the annual Field Hockey Jamboree returns for its 21st year.

    The 30-team jamboree begins that Friday with 30 matches to be played on five different fields at Willow Glen.

    Among the teams competing in the jamboree are Cupertino, Del Mar, Los Altos, Prospect, Live Oak, Homestead, St. Francis, Leigh, Westmont, University, Monta Vista, Lynbrook, Leland, Saratoga, Willow Glen, and Mitty.
