Thank-yous go to roadside helpers

I would personally like to thank the two kind individuals who assisted me on Wed., Aug. 20. After noting a detour sign on Highway 9--Big Basin Way--caused by the recent August rains, I drove my Nissan Altima back up the road toward my house atop Mt. Eden Road. To my disbelief and surprise, my front left tire had become flat after driving over some rocks while trying to avoid several trucks that had crowded the roadway.

After I stopped the car on the shoulder of the roadway to see if any damage was caused by the rocks, two individuals graciously stopped and changed my tire, providing me with comfort and a mobile phone to assist me.

In all the excitement, I did not ask the names of these individuals and am forever grateful, and owe them all my gratitude.
