Fauvre, Burke

Cynthia Elise Fauvre and Andrew George Burke were married June 1 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Saratoga.

Fauvre is the daughter of David and Beverly Fauvre of Saratoga and La Quinta, Calif. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor of arts degree in communications. She is a marketing representative for Distribupro, a subsidiary of Computer Associates, Santa Clara.

Burke is the son of Edward and Donna Burke of Lake Oswego, Ore. He graduated from the University of Oregon, where he received a degree in architecture. He is employed by PJHM Architects, San Jose.

The couple resides in San Jose.

Varnell, Smith

Rachel Varnell and Christopher Smith of Saratoga were wed Aug. 10 at Maison du Lac in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Los Gatos.

Varnell is the daughter of Dr. Gilbert and Nancy Varnell of Saratoga. She graduated from Saratoga High School in 1989 and from UC-San Diego in 1993 with a bachelor of arts degree. She is currently a second-year law student at Santa Clara University Law School.

Smith, the son of Elaine Smith and the late Peter Smith of Saratoga, graduated from Saratoga High School in 1989 and from UC-San Diego in 1993, with a bachelor of science degree in engineering. He obtained his master's degree in 1994. He is employed as an engineer by OSI of Fremont.

The couple resides in Santa Clara.
