Districts offer lunch discounts to students
The Campbell Union Elementary, Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High and Saratoga Union Elementary School districts will offer free and reduced-price meals during the 2001-2002 school year. The meals are served under the National School Lunch Program, run by the state Department of Education, Bureau of Food Services.
Children are eligible if their parents' incomes are at or below certain levels; if they are members of food stamp households or California Work Opportunity and Responsibility for Kids assistance units; or if they receive benefits from the Food Distribution Program on Indian reservations.
