Musical program benefits charity

Betts Moseley Cartwright, a San Jose resident who died of cancer in 1996, will be remembered Sept. 27 during Una Tardeada, an afternoon of music and food in Saratoga that benefits the Betts Cartwright Memorial Ballet School Scholarship Fund.

The fund provides financial assistance to serious ballet students; Cartwright was a ballet aficionado and actively supported the San Jose Cleveland Ballet.

Held from 1 to 5 p.m. at the home of Charmaine and Dan Warmenhoven, the event will include frozen margaritas, Mexican snacks and music by Los Volcanes Del Valle Trio.

Tickets are $30 each. For reservations or directions, call 272-2531 or 356-9679.
