Saratoga Systems helps sponsor golf tournament

Saratoga Systems, which manufactures automated sales software systems, is among the sponsors of the annual Interplast Inc. Golf Tournament Sept. 9 at Stanford University Golf Course.

CEO Mark Elconin first learned of Interplast 10 years ago while watching a 60 Minutes segment on the organization. "I decided that if I was ever in a position to contribute something to charity, Interplast was the organization I'd like to be involved with," he said.

Elconin recently returned from a trip to Mongolia with a team of Interplast physicians and nurses. Interplast is an organization of volunteer plastic surgeons, pediatricians, anesthesiologists and nurses who work with medical professionals in developing nations to provide free reconstructive surgery to children with birth defects, burns and other crippling injuries.
