Kimberly Shelton Stahlman, daughter of Mrs. Gloria Drake Stahlman and the late Dr. Gray E. B. Stahlman of Saratoga, was married on Sept. 1 to Dr. Michael Justin Kearns, the son of Alice Chen Kearns and Professor David Richard Kearns of La Jolla.
The ceremony was performed by Dr. Andrew Kahn at the Fieldstone Winery in Healdsburg.
The bride, 33, is director of public affairs for the New York City Department of Planning. She graduated from Saratoga High School in 1981 and received an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1985. She will receive master's degrees in urban planning and historic preservation from Columbia University in October.
The bridegroom, 33, is a researcher in artificial intelligence at AT&T Labs. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. in computer science from Harvard University.
The bride's father was a neurosurgeon in private practice in Los Gatos. The bridegroom's father is a professor of chemistry at the University of California at San Diego.
