Kristi Ann Kraemer and Atticus Charles Batacan were married July 14 at Sacred Heart Church in Saratoga.

The bride is the daughter of Steven and Theresa Kraemer of Saratoga. A graduate of Redondo Union High School and UCLA, she is the assistant director of stewardship for the Humanities & Sciences Department at Stanford University.

The groom is the son of Ariel Batacan of Edison, N.J., and Rachelle Riego of Sacramento. A graduate of Arroyo High School, He is attending West Valley College. He is also a department assistant at World Savings Bank in Redwood City.

The couple resides in Cupertino.

Burns, de Carion

Brent Burns of Gulf Shores, Ala., and Henri and Lynda Breault of Phoenix, Ariz., announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Elizabeth Burns, to David Paul de Carion, son of David and Janice de Carion of Saratoga.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Franklin High School in Nashville, Tenn. She will graduate from Arizona State University in December 2001. She is also a marketing and sales representative for Salt River Tubing in Mesa, Ariz.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Saratoga High School and UC-Irvine. He is a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps and currently flies F-18s at Miramar Naval Air Station in San Diego.

They plan a February 2002 wedding.
