Falcons are coming home

It's been a long time coming, but the Saratoga Falcons will finally get to play a home football game this week.

And they're returning home with a winning road memory after a convincing 27-6 victory last Saturday over Valley Christian and former Saratoga head coach Mike Machado.

The Falcons will host Leigh on Sept. 26, 7:30 p.m., at Los Gatos. The Longhorns are 2-0 after nailing lopsided wins over Silver Creek (42-14) and Mt. Pleasant (47-6) in the first two weeks of the season.

Saratoga dropped its season opener to Soquel 10-9, but the Falcons fought back last Saturday to crush Valley Christian.

Senior Mike Black tossed a couple of touchdown passes and ran for a third TD to spark Saratoga to the victory.

Black hit Chad Allen for a 70-yard touchdown and went to Jeremy Devich for 51 yards and a score. He also ran 37 yards for a TD, and tossed to Devich for a two-point conversion.

Allen scored a second touchdown on a six-yard run.
