Some 55 volunteers turned out Sept. 16, to help clean up trash along Saratoga Creek near Prospect High School as part of Coastal Cleanup Day. Among the volunteers were (from left) Doug Wells, Sahil Najeeb, Jared Tranberg and Aaron Levy, members of Cub Scout Pack 325, Webelos Den 8. Approximately 400 pounds of trash were collected from this site alone, according to Sheila Tucker of the West Valley Clean Water Program, who coordinated the Coastal Cleanup Day efforts in the Los Gatos and Saratoga areas.
