Bill and Linda Snider of Saratoga announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Marie Snider, to Nathan David Currie, son of Steve and Joy Currie of Marysville, Wash.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Saratoga High School and Willamette University in Oregon. She is an event assistant for the Portland Rose Festival Association in Portland, Ore.
Her fiancé is a graduate of Marysville Pilchuck High School and Willamette University. He is an account executive with the Portland Trailblazers.
They plan an October 28 wedding.

David and Sheila Brown of Saratoga announce the engagement of their daughter, Becky Brown, to Zachary Edwards, son of Chris and Nancy Edwards of San Jose.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Menlo School in Atherton and Connecticut College. She is part of the student support staff at Springer School in Los Altos. She is also an actor.
Her fiancé is a graduate of Leland High School and Washington State University. He works in strategic sales at Bell Micro Products in San Jose.
They plan a June 2001 wedding.

Nadia Jamshidi and Nicholas Seewer were married June 24, at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Khosrow and Pari Jamshidi of Los Gatos. A graduate of Los Gatos High School and the University of San Diego, she is in the process of opening her own retail business.
The groom is the son of Ray Seewer of Foster City and Sheila Kennedy of Los Altos. A graduate of St. Francis High School and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, he is a business systems analyst with Xilinx in San Jose.
The couple resides in Willow Glen.
