Sheriff's Report

Grand Theft--Aug. 23, noon, on Verde Vista Lane. A resident discovered a necklace and bracelet, worth $16,000, were missing following the departure of a live-in caregiver.

Residential Burglary--Aug. 22, 7 a.m., on Beaumont Avenue. The previous night, a husband and wife were watching television in their home while their son was in the other room. At 11:30 p.m., the son noticed the kitchen window screen was missing on an open window. The woman realized her purse was missing from the kitchen counter.

Unlawful Dumping--Aug. 20, 4 p.m., on Quito Road. A victim found a pile of old fence wood, tree debris and paper products near the resident's fence. One of the paper products had an address on it. Deputies went to the address, and the resident there said she had hired a company to take some garbage off her property.

Vandalism--Aug. 20, 8:15 a.m., on Big Basin Way. Gas station owner showed deputies tagging left on an outside side door and public telephone.
