Sheriff's Report

Marijuana Possession--4:50 p.m., Sept. 23 on Lawrence Expressway and Prospect Avenue. A man was stopped because the brake light on his car was out. After consent was given to search the vehicle, a marijuana pipe was found under the driver's seat. When asked where the dope was, the driver handed over a bag containing green leafy substance to the deputy. The driver was cited and released.

Unlicensed Driver--12:45 a.m., Sept. 20 on Saratoga Avenue. A car was pulled over because the driver made an unsafe turn. The driver was unlicensed and could not provide a valid ID. He was unsure of his birthdate. He was taken to the county jail and booked for driving without a license.

Drunkenness/Drug Possession--2:10 a.m., Sept. 20 on Homes Avenue at Cox Avenue. The suspect was stopped for riding without a light on his bike and was arrested for public drunkenness. A search revealed a glass pipe and 1.5 grams of methamphetamine on his person.

Vandalism--8:45 a.m., Sept. 17 on Bucknall Avenue. A car parked in the victim's driveway was dented by a large landscaping rock. There were no witnesses.
