    Obituaries

    Elizabeth Replogle

    Longtime Saratogan Elizabeth Jane Elliott Replogle died Sept. 10, at the age of 85.

    Born Nov. 7, 1914, in Ft. Wayne, Ind., Replogle was a 50-year resident of Saratoga, where she was active with Saratoga High School, the Vineyards Homeowners' Association and the Saratoga Senior Center.

    Replogle was preceded in death by her husband Willard and her son David. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Steven and Linda Replogle of Alameda; grandsons Todd, Adam, Dan and Jon Replogle, all of Santa Cruz; and granddaughter Lisa Lee of San Diego.

    In accordance with her wishes, there was no memorial service.

    Dorothy Sain

    Former Saratoga resident Dorothy Sain died on Sept. 1, in Paris, Texas, where she had been residing. She was 83.

    A native of Chicota, Texas, Sain moved to Saratoga in 1951 with her family. She moved back to Texas in 1982.

    Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Rick and Sue Sain of Redding; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

    Memorial services have been held, with interment at Madronia Cemetery.
