Sheriff's Report

Drunk in Public--Sept. 28, 11:35 p.m., on Quito Road. Deputies responded to Bucknall Avenue at Paseo Presada Drive regarding possible gunshots in the area. Anonymous witnesses said they saw three white males walking eastbound on Bucknall toward Quito Road. The deputy checked the area and found one suspect standing in the middle of the roadway on Quito Road. The suspect was angry that the deputy stopped and questioned him. The suspect was determined to be under the influence and was arrested for being drunk in public.

Vehicle Burglary--Sept. 28, 12:45 p.m., on Maureen Way. A Jeep's rag top, valued at more than $900, was taken by an unknown suspect.

Commercial Burglary--Sept. 25, 7:30 a.m., on Saratoga Avenue. A suspect forced his way into a building by throwing rocks through a glass door and through a window on the other side of the building. The suspect removed several computers from the office area after turning off the alarm. Total loss is approximately $19,500.

Residential Burglary--Sept. 24, 11:05 p.m., on Lanark Lane. An unknown male entered the victim's home through an open window. A witness heard noise in her parents' bedroom, and when she went to investigate, she saw the suspect leaving through the window. The suspect, who fled on foot before deputies arrived, took an ATM card and $130 cash. One latent print was lifted from the window and entered as evidence.

Grand Theft--Sept. 24, 3 p.m., Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. A carrying bag was removed from the seat of an unlocked vehicle parked in the parking lot of a restaurant. The victim said the bag contained two shirts, two pairs of shooting glasses, two checkbooks, a gun-cleaning kit and receipts valued at approximately $500. No suspects were seen or heard.
