Saratoga NewsDiet StudyThe Northern California Cancer Center is seeking Bay Area women who have survived breast cancer to take part in a new study designed to test whether a special diet high in fruits and vegetables and low in fats can reduce the risk of the cancer's recurrence. The study, called Women's Healthy Eating and Living (WHEL), is funded by the National Cancer Institute and is open to women between the ages of 18 and 70 who were diagnosed with stage I, II or IIIA breast cancer within the past four years and are in good general health.
